Our theme for Wednesday Night Discipleship, besides Year of Faith, is "Open the door to faith." Pope Benedict begins his Apostolic letter by telling us:
"The 'door of faith' (Acts 14:27) is always open for us, ushering us into the life of communion with God and offering entry into his Church. It is possible to cross that threshold when the word of God is proclaimed and the heart allows itself to be shaped by transforming grace."
(Porta Fidei 1)We have several pictures of open doors on our bulletin board to remind us to step through the door to faith. We talked about what hinders us from taking that step through the door, what "gets in the way" of having faith.
